When I started Greetings, Earthling, it was right after I lost my job. I needed a creative outlet, I wanted to try writing for the first time, and I wanted to build some skills that might help with my job search.

The plan was simple. I’d do this daily for a couple weeks, then switch to a weekly format once I had a new job.

Well… fast forward almost a year and roughly 1,000 job applications later.
You can imagine the range of emotions that came along with that.
Some days were hopeful. Some days were frustrating. Some days were exhausting.

Along the way, I started writing some of those transmissions for myself.

They were reminders to stay on track. To keep working. To be patient. To handle disappointment a little better. To remember that this whole process was out of my control except for one thing: my effort.

Some days were harder than others.

But I always had Greetings, Earthling as an outlet. And I also had you.

Your messages. Your comments. Your encouragement. The kind words people sent along the way meant more than you probably realize. They made a lot of the hard days easier to get through.

And now I have some good news to share.

I’m starting a new job! A fun one too.

After a long stretch of searching, learning, waiting, and hoping, I finally get to turn the page and start a new chapter.

Because of that, Greetings, Earthling will be shifting from a daily transmission to a weekly one.

I have some exciting new work ahead of me, but I’ll never stop seeing the world through the eyes of NeilA. If you’d like to stick around, I’d love to keep sharing those observations with you.

In a funny way, this is also the real-life follow-up to many of the transmissions I wrote this year.

About effort.
About patience.
About hope.

I kept grinding, even when it felt like a nonstop climb uphill.

I tried to stay patient, even when I wanted to yell and cry (which I occasionally did).

And I kept hoping, even after plenty of disappointments.

Because I actually believe the things I write.

And I believed there would be a happy ending to that chapter.

Now I’m turning the page and starting fresh.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.

Inspired by Stoic philosophy, Tao, Alan Watts, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.

If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.

If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.

Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
