Transmission 147: Frustration

Let it out, then get back to work.

All I want for Christmas is youuuuuuu……to buy a mug or a hoodie. Please help me continue to send these transmissions. I’m not asking for donations, you get something in return. Who knows? Your favourite sweater or drinking vessel could be out there, just waiting for you. Alone. Crying. Wishing you would hurry up and bring them home to snuggle. Okay that was a bit much…but here’s the link!

Some days on this planet
you do everything you can.

You try.
You push.
You show up
when you could have stayed curled
in the dark.

And still, life shrugs.
Opportunities pass you by.
People around you glide
as if gravity works different for them.

It feels unfair
because it is.

And it is okay
to feel that.
To be frustrated.
To vent.
To break open for a moment
and let the pressure out.

Dwelling does nothing.
Whining does nothing.
Waiting for the universe
to hand you the missing piece
does nothing.

You get back up
because movement
is the only thing
that changes anything.

YOU are the only thing
that changes anything.

One step.
Then another.

You can do this.
There are over 600 of us here now,
reading these transmissions,
and most of us are in this same boat.
Paddling hard against the tide.
Getting hit by wave after wave.

Calmer waters are ahead,
you just have to keep going to get there.
One stroke at a time.
You can endure.
You will endure.

Birchbark canoes.

Light enough to lift,
strong enough to cross a lake,
built from the very forest
they moved through.

Birch. Cedar. Spruce roots.
Nothing wasted.
Nothing extra.

Humans here learned to bend trees
and shape water.
A canoe was not just a vessel
but a quiet agreement
between land and travel.

I still marvel
at how something so thin,
so natural,
could carry so many stories
across so many miles.

A reminder from your ancestors:
the simplest materials
can become the most remarkable things
when shaped with patience
and intention.

You can always find a way.

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.

Inspired by Stoic philosophy, Tao, Alan Watts, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.

If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.

If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.

Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
