Transmission 136: On my way
Change is scary, Earthling.

- - - - - GREETINGS, EARTHLING - - - - -
It’s Tunesday.
Here’s a song you should listen to.
And listen to.
“Send Me On My Way” by Rusted Root
sounds light and playful,
until you listen a little closer.
This is my interpretation anyway.
On the surface, it’s sunny and bright.
But underneath, it is a confession.
A quiet request for guidance.
Help. Change. Movement.
“Pick me up with golden hand.”
That is someone asking the universe
to reach down
and pull them somewhere better.
But the next line is the most human:
“I may see you, I may tell you to run.”
Fear talking.
Stubbornness.
That old instinct to push help away
even when you’ve already asked for it.
You do this too.
You ask for change,
then retreat from it.
You ask for support,
then shrink from the hand reaching back.
You say “I want out of this,”
but the moment the door opens
you freeze.
Because accepting help
means accepting a new trajectory.
A new version of you.
A new place to stand.
Change is scary, Earthling.
Even the good kind.
But the song keeps repeating,
like a mantra, like a heartbeat:
On my way.
On my way.
On my way.
A reminder that movement counts.
That trying counts.
That courage can be small and still be courage.
If you need help, ask for it.
If someone reaches out, let them.
If your path is opening, step onto it.
You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to grow.
You are allowed to let someone guide you
until you can guide yourself.
Until you can guide others?
Get on your way, Earthling.
You’re closer than you think.
The Greetings, Earthling playlist has been updated.

Gold.
Humans see it and instantly activate
their ancient goblin programming.
Eyes widen.
Hands tingle.
Brain says ooooh shiny.
It’s just a yellow rock.
But for some reason
it makes Earthlings feel lucky,
powerful,
and slightly mischievous.
And it has for thousands of years.
A treasure that proves one thing:
no matter how advanced a species becomes,
everyone loves a good sparkle.
