Transmission 105: Earthlings are
The first of 10 transmissions on what it means to be a good Earthling.

- - - - - GREETINGS, EARTHLING - - - - -
For the next ten days, I’ll be transmitting the Earthling code.
Not laws. Not commandments.
Just quiet instructions, written in case someone needs them.
If a descendant in a distant galaxy ever wonders what it meant to be human
what it meant to come from Earth
this is what I want them to know.
Today, we begin with the first.

Earthlings are.
You are.
Like the trees, the tides, the dust between stars.
All connected.
Held by gravity. Touched by light.
Part of the rhythm that holds everything.
When you stop and notice
you understand it.
You feel it.
You are.
Breathe in. Be present. Let go.

Before I first landed, I paused.
Hovering in orbit, looking down through the veil of atmosphere, I saw it all at once.
Not just a planet.
But a breathing system.
Clouds curling like milk in tea.
Ocean currents flowing like muscle memory.
Entire forests inhaling.
It was not silent. It was alive.
I waited. I listened.
I let Earth’s rhythms reach me before I touched the ground.
It felt like knocking on the door of something ancient.
Sometimes, I wonder what would happen if more Earthlings paused before entering a room. A conversation. A day. A feeling.
Not to be perfect.
But to arrive.
To be.

The full moon.
No one really understands it.
It makes people weird.
It pulls oceans around like it owns the place.
And somehow, even after thousands of years,
you still catch yourself looking up
and feeling something you can’t explain.

Word association time. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “moon”? |

Float well, Earthling.

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.
Inspired by Stoic philosophy, Tao, Alan Watts, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.
If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.
If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.
Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
