Transmission 100: This is life
Not just the good parts.

I thought humans celebrated strange things, birthdays, anniversaries, orbit-completions, but now I get it. Big round numbers feel like magic.
So to celebrate, I made fancy merchandise. Hoodies, shirts, mugs… all designed to make you look 3% cooler and 9% more intergalactic. Probably.
If you believe in what Greetings, Earthling is all about, please share this message with someone you love. Someone who might need a small daily reminder that Earth is weird and wonderful.
And if you want to wear that reminder?

100! We made it.
First of all, thank you.
You’re the reason this keeps going.
Your replies, your shares, your feedback,
your weird and wonderful poll answers.
I appreciate it more than I can say.
I needed this connection more than I realized.
Sometimes I’m writing these transmissions to you.
Sometimes I’m writing them to myself.
I started this newsletter as a way to pull myself out of a hard place.
And somewhere along the way, I started discovering parts of me I’d forgotten.
Not strength I didn’t know I had, I’ve always known I’m strong,
but strength that keeps getting tested in new ways.
The hike that seems to be set on going ever uphill.
This latest challenge…
it rattled me.
Outwardly, I was confident.
But inside?
Worried.
Tired.
Scared.
Could I keep going?
Did I have enough in the tank for another climb?
And then I remembered
the strength isn’t in winning.
It’s not in fixing everything or reaching the next level.
The strength is in showing up.
In going through the motions when you have nothing left.
In refusing to quit.
In saying, “Not today.”
And doing it again tomorrow.
And again the day after that.
This is life.
Not just the good parts.
All of it.
If you’re only living for the easy days,
life will rush past you.
Because for some of us,
the hard days outnumber the soft ones.
Call it luck, fate, karma, whatever.
You still only get one life.
So live it.
All of it.
The mess and the magic.
Appreciate the small wins.
Love yourself for showing up.
That’s what this newsletter is about.
We all struggle.
We all triumph.
Whether you’re new here or have been here for a while,
thank you for helping me live my life,
and for letting me remind you to live yours.
Here’s to 100 more.
Float well, Earthlings.

PS - I could not, would not be doing this without help. To my partner, my friend, my fellow traveller through the universe, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.
Inspired by Stoic philosophy, Tao, Alan Watts, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.
If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.
If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.
Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
