Transmission 068: Help yourself
Helping others is wonderful. But helping yourself is important too.

- - - - - GREETINGS, EARTHLING - - - - -
My spacecraft does not have a lot of storage options.
So I used the compartment below the atmospheric flux module as a kind of junk drawer.
A very bad idea, as it turns out.
When the module stopped working mid-flight, I nearly suffocated.
The culprit?
Among the nest of tangled wires, were old receipts, take out menus, packs of Earth condiments, a mass of free tote bags from the Gaws galaxy, and way too many gadgets.
I suppose I thought I might need them someday.
But someday never comes when you’re floating through the cosmos, gasping for air.
This Sunday is National Nonprofit Day.
Your weekend mission?
Box up something useful and donate it to a local thrift shop that supports something good.
And while you’re there, find a little something for yourself too.
Because helping others is wonderful.
But helping yourself is important too.
What do you need? Or want?
It’s not selfish, it’s called self-preservation. Self-love.
Help others. And help yourself.
You can do both.

Thrift shops.
Where no two mugs are the same, and every aisle holds the echo of someone else’s life.
The best ones smell like old wood and mild mystery.
And sometimes you find exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for.

Why don’t Eyb lifeforms play cards?
Because they always fold…
Hahahaha!

How cluttered is your home right now? |

Float well, Earthling.

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.
Inspired by Stoic philosophy, Tao, Alan Watts, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.
If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.
If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.
Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
