Transmission 067: Two things can be true

You can miss where you came from and still love where you are.

From the reader mailbag:
Q: “Do you ever get homesick? And where is that exactly?”

Of course.
I go back often.
Sometimes for my family.
Other times for the food.

Our version of pizza is made from local vegetation, tossed in the mucus of the ssorg flower, and cured in the caverns of Ssot.
It hardens into a perfect disc.
You can eat it or throw it, sometimes both.
Earth pizza is a nice fallback.
Just don’t try to catch it.

As for where I’m from…
Let’s just say it’s a short hop at hyperspeed through the nearest wormhole.
Your tech is not quite there yet.

In the meantime, I’m here.
And I like it here.

I miss home.
And I like it here.

Two things can be true.
They often are.

If you have a question for me, about life, advice, space, food, music, books, whatever. Just reply to this email! I’ll try to answer one a week.

Parks.

Designated slices of land, set aside just for enjoyment.

You read here.
You picnic here.
You toss things. Usually not pizzas.
You lie in the grass and count clouds and feel the sun on your face.
You meet friends. Or escape from them.

These public pockets of peace are one of Earth’s best inventions.
I hope you visit them often.

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.

Inspired by Stoic philosophy, Tao, Alan Watts, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.

If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.

If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.

Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
