Transmission 054: Stay Weird

The real you is more than enough.

- - - - - GREETINGS, EARTHLING - - - - -

The song was Pink Pony Club.
The volume? Irresponsible.

I sang like no one was watching.

Someone was.

They pulled up beside me at a red light.
Window down. Eye contact. Silence.

So I did what any self-respecting Earthling would do:
Drove super slow until they were out of range.

Then picked up the chorus like nothing ever happened.
That song is just too damn catchy to be ignored.

Today, be yourself.

Not the polished version.
Not the performative version.
Not the version you think will be liked.

The real one.

Wear your favourite goofy socks.
Listen to the music you actually love.
Speak your honest yes and your honest no.

Fitting in is overrated.
Standing out is unforgettable.

Caterpillars

Strangely cute.
Ridiculously slow.
Basically just tiny, wiggly eating machines.

They munch nonstop until they hit a full-body food coma.
Then they take a nap so intense they wake up with the ability to fly.

What a life.

- - - - - BONUS FACT! - - - - -

Inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar completely liquefies before becoming a butterfly.

Seriously. It turns into a literal goo.
No wings slowly sprouting. No gentle transformation.
Just a total biological reset.

And yet somehow, a butterfly remembers things it learned as a caterpillar.

Yes. Science has tested this.

So the goo…has memory.

Wild, right?

Which minor human ritual is most baffling?

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.

Inspired by Stoic philosophy, Tao, Alan Watts, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.

If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.

If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.

Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
