Transmission 034: Don't Stop
Let yourself hope.

Attention all Reddit users: We now have our own subreddit! A place we can discuss the day’s transmission. Or give feedback. Or ask for help. Or share toast recipes. I’m not sure what it’s going to be yet. I’m hoping you’ll help me evolve it into our very own little corner of the internet.

I had an extra toaster to sell. I had bought two. Couldn’t decide between silver or light grey.
A overhead an Earthling say that Facebook Marketplace was a good way to sell things.
So I listed one. $20. Added a photo and a caption I was proud of.
Right away someone messaged, “Is this available?”
Success!
I replied “Yes!”
But that must have scared them away because I never heard from them again.

Earthlings have a strange relationship with hope.
You treat it like a mood. If things go well, you feel hopeful. If they don’t, it vanishes.
But hope isn’t a reward. It’s a practice. It’s a mindset. A lens to view the world through.
You build it by trying. By believing things might get better even when there’s no sign yet. By picturing a tomorrow worth working toward.
Hope doesn’t guarantee success. But it gives you the best chance.

Be hopeful on purpose.
Not because today feels easy. But because tomorrow might.
Carry yourself like someone who expects things to improve.
You might be surprised how often that changes the outcome.

“Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac
A song written after heartbreak. But instead of giving up, it sings about looking forward.
It’s not naive. It knows yesterday hurt.
It just chooses to believe in the next sunrise anyway.
That’s hope. And it’s a skill worth learning.

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.
Inspired by Stoic philosophy, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.
If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.
If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.
Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
