Transmission 021: Shake It Out

You don’t have to carry it all forever

- - - - - GREETINGS, EARTHLING - - - - -

Before a rocket launches, it drops the pieces it no longer needs.

You might consider doing the same.

You carry regret like cargo.

Old stories, old mistakes, old pressure to be perfect.

But if you want to begin again, really begin, you need to shake a few things loose.

It’s not about the perfect plan. It’s about clearing your head, forgiving yourself, and making space for what comes next.

Take the first step.

It doesn’t need to be glorious. It just needs to be real.

Momentum doesn’t require magic. It requires movement.

Elevators.

The first time I entered one, I expected to end up back on my spaceship.

Instead, I landed in a shoe store.

Still, I admire them. When you’re too tired to climb (human legs are hard to walk up stairs with!), your planet invented quiet boxes that lift you toward the light.

What a kind idea.

- - - - - MUSIC BONUS - - - - -

Today’s transmission was inspired by the song Shake It Out by Florence + The Machine.

I asked yesterday if you wanted to listen to my playlist. And you said yes 🙂 So here it is. It’s full of positive and space themed pieces. I hope you enjoy it! I’ll add more music to it as I send more musically-powered transmissions.

Greetings, Earthling is a free daily newsletter designed to help you slow down, feel better, and start your mornings with a sense of meaning. Written from the perspective of a curious space observer named NeilA, each transmission blends mindfulness, motivation, and emotional insight with a hint of cosmic wonder.

Inspired by Stoic philosophy, behavioural science, and the strange beauty of being human, these messages offer gentle reminders to live with purpose, pay attention, and appreciate the little things. Part alien wisdom, part self-help, part poetic dispatch, it’s a daily pick-me-up disguised as a transmission from the stars.

If you’re looking for a mindful routine, a feel-good newsletter, or thoughtful guidance that fits in your inbox, you’re in the right place. This is for anyone who wants to be more present, more kind, and more connected to yourself, to others, and to the universe around you.

If this helped, pass it along. Or send them here. Signals get stronger when more receivers are tuned in.

Thank you for reading. Your presence means more than you know.
